Using the power of technology and innovation, we connect people to the help they need.
 
Every hour of every day, someone in Madison, Oneida and Herkimer Counties needs essential services — from finding substance abuse assistance to securing adequate care for a child or an aging parent. Whether it is the need to find a solution for a new problem of a long-time challenge, people often don’t know where to turn first. At a time of crisis, any one of us can be unsure of where to begin to find help. 2-1-1 changes that, connecting callers to the most current listing of available services and the one-on-one assistance of an experienced, highly skilled problem solver who will:

2-1-1 Mid-York can assist you in helping your employees and/or clients. It’s never-ending job to keep track of changes in programs and services, which is why 2-1-1 staff work every day to keep our database current. Just dial 2-1-1, and trained call specialists will connect you with information to get your employees or clients the help they need. 2-1-1 Mid-York can provide training to your staff on how to best utilize 2-1-1. The training can be conducted on-site at your organization for your convenience.

2-1-1 Mid-York’s DD InfoLink is a single source for local information and referrals for individuals with intellectual and developmental and/or physical disability. This specialized online tool focuses on helping self-advocates, families, and caregivers find support and answers in Madison, Oneida and Herkimer counties. Disaster-Related Services

During a disaster, 2-1-1 works closely with government and community organizations to provide public information to the community. 2-1-1 also reports community needs that are not being met, and acts as the central communications point for other community agencies and non-governmental organizations. Steve’s Story – Helping employees connect with essential services.

Steve is a Human Resource Coordinator for a small, local manufacturing business. It is important to him that he goes the extra mile to help any employee. Recently, Steve was following up with Bob, an employee who had been involved in a near-miss incident at work. Bob confided that he’d been distracted at work because he was worried about his wife being alone at home after her recent illness. Steve was able to provide Bob with information about 2-1-1, making it possible for Bob to make one call to find out what help was available.
